What happened in the Light & Dark universe

June 15, 2003 --  It's getting closer to show time.  The Tenement is still set to premiere in October.  I'm getting ready to edit the movie real soon.  Things have been really busy lately.  I'm now doing web site design pretty much full time in lieu of my "day job" which I left in January.

Speaking of busy, Mike Lane (The Tenement's Jimmy Wayne Garrick and Fear of the Dark's Michael Jacobs) has just wrapped the lead role of Jack Carr in the full length independent movie Urban Cannibal Holocaust.  Urban Cannibal Holocaust is presented by Dark Mayhem Pictures in conjunction with Sub Rosa Unbound.  Check out http://www.geocities.com/darkmayhempictures/index.html for more information.  Mike is also in preproduction for the as yet untitled full length movie from NYC Visions.  He will be playing the lead role of Carter Freeman.  Check out www.littlemusic.com for more information.  Click on the "Watch the Lunching w/ Margaret Scene" to watch Mike in scene from NYC Visions' short film Linger.

Mike Valenzano (Oscar Valentine in The Tenement and Sins of the Father) just wrapped up a small role in the independent movie Floyd where he played MHS High School Track coach.  Floyd is a coming of age story written in the tradition of American Pie.  More news on this to come.  Mike was offered a role as an extra in the upcoming movie "The Crow: Wicked Prayer."  He leaves sometime in July to film.

Brian Spears and Pete Gerner just wrapped up makeup and special effects work on Media Blasters Flesh for the Beast which was written and directed by Terry West.  The guys got to throw blood on Caroline Munro (Golden Voyage of Sinbad, Dracula A.D. 1972, Spy Who Loved Me).  There is also a great article which features their work in the July issue of Fangoria Magazine.  Pictures of their latest work as well as an excerpt of the article is on the Light & Dark site in The Tenement section.  Brian also sent me a feature article about him (posted in the same section) from October's Patent Trader which mentions Light & Dark as well.  It's great that Light & Dark's name is getting out there!
