For the best damn coverage of the
Fangoria Weekend of Horrors go to...
THE HOLLYWOOD CHAINSAW BLOGGER
I'll be at Fango this Saturday and
Sunday so maybe you'll see me do something stupid.
5/18/09 – The Tenement
(lead role of Jimmy Wayne Garrick) is in the 30th anniversary June issue
of Fangoria Magazine.
The movie is part of a list called "Fangoria
On Screen" since the magazine made a cameo in the movie.

The man ripping the magazine is Michael
Gingold, the REAL LIFE Managing Editor of Fangoria. His character
states, "Who do you gotta blow to get into this rag?"

4/30/09 –
Dread Central gives Insatiable a good review. Excerpts are below and
read the whole review
here.
"All in all, "Insatiable" is a solid and
entertaining short."
"... I really enjoyed the subtlety of
it. This is one that gets better and better with repeated viewings.”
"'Insatiable' is currently making the
festival rounds, so if it's playing at a horror fest near you, you might
want to get a ticket … or two so you can watch it again!"
4/10/09 – Insatiable director Scott W. Perry has some kind
words about me in his interview with Staugnews:
Casting the film was fun. I met Mike
Lane and Zoe Daelman Chlanda on the set of Alan Rowe Kelly’s film “The
Blood Shed” and was impressed by their performances. When it came time
to get “Insatiable” together, they agreed to do the roles. I met Raine
Brown while asking for an interview for my Colonel’s Crypt website and
she loved the script. For acting without using any dialogue, they had to
rely on their emotions and I felt all three did a phenomenal job.

4/9/09 – Alan Rowe Kelly, director of The Blood Shed (supporting
role of Hubcap Bullion) and Down the Drain (supporting role of Principal
Royce), in an interview with Horror Society says:
"I realized that everything occurring on
set of THE BLOOD SHED was a reaffirmation that I made the right decision
to become a filmmaker. Never was there a film set so fun, so free of ego
and temperament, and yet so very serious and creative a collaborative.
THE BLOOD SHED was never ‘MY’ film. It became everyone’s film involved –
from the wonderfully talented actors, music composer, editor, and
producers, make up artists, art director and cinematographer. We kept
saying amongst ourselves - “this shouldn’t be this fun…something is
wrong!” LOL! It was one the best film experiences ever and that will
last me all my days."
Plus, to top it off, we have the
greatest range of horror indie notables starring in GALLERY OF FEAR like
Terry M. West, Jerry Murdock, Zoë Daelman Chlanda, Katherine O’Sullivan,
Raine Brown, Robert Norman, Benzy, Debbie DeVerde, Susan Adriensen,
Joshua Nelson, Terry Shane, Don Money, Sandra Schaller, Mike Lane, and,
hell yeah, I’m in it too!”

4/1/09 – For an
incredibly great and extremely intellectual review of the The Blood
Shed (supporting role of Hubcap Bullion), check out:

Quotes are below:
"This subtlety,
completely uncommon in the realms of the horror genre, is exactly what
makes this movie more important than what you would imagine just by
seeing the cover of the DVD."
"I know for a fact
that the next time someone asks me if I have watched anything good, I
will say 'I haven’t seen anything good, but I saw something great:
The Blood Shed by Alan Rowe Kelly.'”

3/9/09 – The Video Graveyard gives
Insatiable (lead role of Derek) a good review. Read it at
http://www.thevideograveyard.com/i/insatiable.html.
“[the] cast does relatively well with the material.
Lane and Chlanda both appeared together earlier in the highly
entertaining redneck horror flick, The Blood Shed and Raine Brown (who’s
been busy in tons of b-movies including the upcoming remake of Don’t
Look in the Basement!) brings a "can’t put my finger on it attraction to
her character in her brief screen time."

Insatiable (lead role of Derek).
The link to the whole review is below. Here are some
quotes:
"Insatiable, takes the serial killer and the vampire,
mixes them up a bit and turns out a movie that's just amazing."
“. . . the acting is great, the story is very good
and, overall, Insatiable will leave you wanting more!"
