| PAST NEWS & EVENTS June 2000 News ArchivesWhat happened in the Light & Dark universeJune 30, 2000 -- Locations are pretty much locked down. All of the main roles are cast. We are working out the details for some of the minor characters. Shooting will commence on August 13 and hopefully be wrapped up by early September. We have a wonderful cast. Be sure to check out the casting page. Vanessa Edwards is our latest addition to the cast. She will be playing the role of Karen. We are currently working on a promotional song which we hope to get our before the final release of the movie. It will be included in the movie as well. Preliminary work for the scoring of the soundtrack has begun. It will have a real haunting quality to it reminiscent of the early seventies and eighties horror movies. As always, we will keep you posted on the latest updates. May you all have a happy and safe 4th of July. June 20, 2000 -- It's been a long run but we finally have finished casting the principals. We have a wonderfully talented and enthusiastic cast. I can hardly wait to post their pictures here on line. A special thanks goes out to the Beechmont which resides in New Rochelle, New York and Cousins Electronics, Euro Spa and Lucio's Pizza which are located in Pleasantville, New York. Cousins was kind enough to allow us to hold auditions there. The Beechmont, Euro Spa and Lucio's Pizza are being gracious enough to allow us to film a scene in their establishments. Please visit Cousins for the latest in home theater equipment and home electronics. While you're there, be sure to visit Euro Spa to redefine your style. Afterwards, grab a bite to eat at Lucio's where you'll find some of the best pizza around. Don't forget the Beechmont for good food and drinks. So far everything is shaping up to be a great picture. I have finished the seventh draft of the screenplay and pre-production design work is under way. - Glen July 13, 2000 -- Richard Redmond has joined the cast. He will be playing Mr. Jacobs, Michael's father, in the funeral scene, one of the movies more climactic scenes. July 10, 2000 -- I would like to thank Maher Funeral Home in Pleasantville, New York for letting us use their facility for shooting. I think the scene that we are doing there will be one of the most memorable ones and one of the most fun to shoot. In addition, I would like to also thank The Memory Maker Florist located in Cortlandt Manor, New York. They are making beautiful silk flower arrangements for the funeral scene. If you are in need of an arrangement they do a wonderful job. A visit is worth it alone for a real country feeling. July 9, 2000 -- I would like to welcome a number of new additions to our cast. Danielle Russo has joined the cast and will be playing Janice. Vicky Cooper will be playing Mrs. Jacobs, Michael's mother. We still have not yet cast Mr. Jacobs, Michael's father. Vicky can currently be seen in an adaptation of Neil Simon's "Come Blow Your Horn" at the V.A. Hospital in Montrose, New York. The remaining dates are Friday, July 14 and 15 at 8 PM and Sunday, July 16 at 2 PM. For more information, please call the Hand to Mouth Players at (914) 734-4336. Seven year old Brianna Nichols will portray Young Alice, Rosemary Gore's younger self. Be sure to check out Brianna's headshot on our web site. She is a true horror queen. Brianna will also be joined by three of her sisters. The role of Roger's daughter will be played by twins, Mariah and Yakira Nichols. And, interestingly enough, Harmony Nichols, Brianna's oldest sister will play her mother, Janet Walker. Another bit of interesting trivia is that the name Janet is the real life name of the Nichols' mom. In the fashion of Alfred Hitchcock, I will cameo as Alice's father, Charles. Charles is my middle name. My wife and daughter will also join the cast as the Park Mother and Daughter. The movie is of much larger scope than originally envisioned but it is certainly not a bad thing. It just lends to a more detailed plot. Keep checking the cast page.
