What happened in the Light & Dark universe

February 13, 2003 --  It has been a while since I have updated the site.  Things have been chaotic.  Since November, I was evicted from my apartment (after 12 years) because my landlord wanted to give the place his teenage son whom got his girlfriend pregnant.  This was the first set back causing The Tenement's completion to move from January to April.  The trailer for said movie was a smash success at this years Fangoria Weekend of Horrors drawing the attention and a pat on the back from the president of Media Blasters, Carl Morano and "If I Die Before I Wake" director Brian Katkin.  But the good always comes with the bad.  My kitten went to the bathroom on my surge protector causing a short that wiped out some equipment.  As fate would have it, my computer went bye bye from a surge as well.  Little gremlins must have moved in because suddenly I found various equipment plagued with problems and unusable.  All this culminated with the loss of my "day job".  Now I find myself full circle.  I sit here night after night and day after day counting the bills - a scene straight out of an "American Movie."  All of this has caused me to put the movie business aside for the time being and to get my life back on track.  The movies will eventually get done and I am hoping to release them most likely in the fall.  For now, I am concentrating on getting my financial situation straightened out.  I will still periodically update the site with goodies and to let everyone know what is going on.  I'm also actively seeking freelance work while my own projects are put on hold so by all means give me a call.  I'm always interested in new ideas.  I may not necessarily have my own equipment on hand but I have access to stuff though colleagues.  I have networked well enough that I can bring many great actors, make-up people, crew people, etc. to the table with me if need be.

        I want to thank all of you who have been more than kind with your letters and e-mail.  I'm a survivor.  I have the determination to make it one day.  This is not the end.  It's just the beginning.
